Strength from within
“Strength from Within” is an environment project I made using Unreal Engine. It is a home boxing training gym environment. The inspiration for this project is wanting to highlight the impact minority boxers have made on the sport and throughout sports history, as well as the personal connection I have with the sport of boxing throughout my family. I had about six assets I 3D modeled and UV mapped using Autodesk Maya. I then took those models and exported them into Substance Painter, where I textured them. Lastly, I exported all the models and textures and took them into UE4, where I brought them in and set my environment up. I also sourced assets through TurboSquid, sketchfab, unreal engine marketplace, and free 3d to fill out my environment. This project was my introduction to Unreal Engine back in the Fall of 2020, and almost 3 years later I decided to redo it for a better looking outcome in Unreal Engine 5. I used majority Quixel Megascans assets and textures the next time around. The camera edits were made with Sequencer in Unreal Engine 5 and final sound design and effects done with Premiere Pro.
